Lumis
Explore, dig and build on a tiny planet — all with your hands, in VR.
Meta Quest / Steam VR / Early Access
What is Lumis?
You land alone on a small, round planet. With a tool in your hand, you dig the ground, collect ores, research what you find and print structures to build a base with power and air. The deeper you dig, the stranger and more beautiful the planet gets. No menus: everything is physical, done with your hands.
- Teleport or smooth movement · standing, seated or room-scale
- Every sound is made by math, in real time
Why Lumis
-
Made for VR from day one
Every interaction is physical. Spin the tool's drum, twist a cable plug until it locks, tap the holographic research tree with a fingertip.
-
Zero text in the world
Machines, structures and the tutorial speak in icons, colors, lights, sound and vibration. A ghost hand shows you each gesture.
-
A real planet
Round, walkable all the way around, with gravity pulling to the center. Dig anywhere, drop into caves and reach the deep layers.
-
Layers with their own look
Biomes, day and night, wind and dust storms on the surface. Glowing fungi in open caves below. Hard rock and giant violet crystals deeper still.
-
A base with power and air
Pull each structure's cable and plug it in by hand. An oxygen hose follows you from the last air bubble — go too far and it snaps.
-
Calm exploration, no combat
Danger comes from the environment — running out of air, heat, hostile plants — never from enemies. Your base is always a safe place.
Dig down
The planet changes as you go deeper.
Biomes with their own colors, plants and sounds. Plains, plateaus, canyons, basalt fields and mountain ranges. Day and night, sunsets, wind and dust storms. Birds, fireflies, and wrecks with an orange beacon you can see from far away.
Open halls, shafts and sinkholes. Veins of Coal, Siderium and Quartz. Fungi that glow in the dark.
Between the layers lies a hard shell. Only a better drill gets through.
Hard rock, veins of Phaetonium and Cratenium, and giant violet crystals.
